Tootsie came To CPR after her family lost their home to foreclosure.  Tootsie was born in about 2007 so she is a senior, but she still has a lot of spunk!

Unfortunately, Tootsie’s back legs don’t work for her anymore and her eyesight has gone.  She needs help with all of her bathroom duties as she can no longer do it all herself.

Compassionate Pug Rescue is committed to making sure that Tootsie is well cared for and has everything she needs for a comfortable life in a loving CPR foster home for the rest of her days.

Tootsie currently does not have a sponsor or “Pug Angel” as we like to call them.  If you’d like to be a Pug Angel for one of CPR’s Permanent Foster/Hospice pugs, please click our “Donation” Button on any of our CPR website pages and sign up for a Paypal Subscription for $25 per month or more and let us know which pug you’d like to be a Pug Angel for!

Thank you for supporting Pug Rescue! xoxo

I was reading about Tootsie. My pug, Heidi, passed away Aug. 14. She also had the same disabilities as Tootsie. Heidi had to wear a diaper all the time. I have about 45 dog diapers, size medium, and some cover ups to go over the diapers. If you would want or need these, I would be more than happy to mail them to you. I had 90 diapers delivered from each month and these were the ones I had when she passed. One pack is unopened and the other has about 15 left in the pack. didn’t want them back and suggested a rescue group might want them. Just let me know about these, yes or no.
    Thank you, Vicki Simpson

Hello Vicki! We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your pug Heidi. We hope that the memories you have of her will help you heal in time…. We could absolutely use the diapers and cover ups – if you still have them. We realize that some time has passed since you contacted us. Our apologies for the delayed response. Please email us at to let us know and we can reply with a mailing address. Thank you for thinking of and supporting pug rescue. xoxo
