The pugs below are available for adoption unless they are marked "Adoption Pending" or "I've Been Adopted". CPR only accepts applications from residents of Florida.
Every pug is seen by a veterinarian prior to being offered for adoption and has been treated for any known health problems. All of our pugs are spayed/neutered, current on shots, and heart worm negative.
Our adoption fee depends on the health and age of the pug. One hundred percent of this fee is put back into CPR to pay for the medical expenses and treatment of our rescue pugs.
You must fill out an adoption application if you're interested in adopting a pug from CPR. Please do not fill out the application unless you are ready to adopt a pug at this time.

Please meet Nilla,
Nilla is a sweet, affectionate and happy 6 year old female Puggle whose family from birth was forced to surrender her due to a sudden move.
Nilla is a beautiful girl with a stunning copper coat who likes playing with toys, eating, snuggling on the couch and sniffing around for interesting things on the floor like crumbs.
She gets along great with her foster pug siblings and does not like to be out of sight of her people. She sleeps peacefully in a doggie bed next to her foster Mom’s bed.
She loves kids and other dogs in the neighborhood and has a low-moderate energy level. She is good with adult cats, but seems to resort to a “tracking Beagle” when my kitten is around.
She knows the commands sit, stay and wait, has excellent leash manners and is perfectly house trained.
Nilla is current on all vaccines, just had a dental cleaning, and is in perfect health.
Nilla would make a wonderful companion for anyone. Please open your heart to loyal and loving Nilla!
If you want to meet her, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce you to her.

Let me introduce myself, pug lovers…
My name is Monty and I am quite the special pug! Weighing in at 25 lbs, I am a big boy on a solid, large frame, but am a good weight for my size. Did I mention how handsome I am?
Through no fault of my own, I ended up at the shelter and since nobody came to claim me, they called pug rescue to spring me. CPR picked me up - took me to the Doc where I got “snipped”, and my choppers cleaned up. My only real issue is I have some pigment on my eyes and will require daily eye drops.
I am a happy, laid back guy who can be playful with bursts of energy. I love walks and of course mealtime. I get along with all my fur siblings. I love to be close to my people and enjoy hanging out with them. Oh did I mention I am housebroken?
So...if you can see the specialness in me, please give CPR a shout out and come meet me, Monty...Ok?? Hope you are ready ‘cause I sure am!! Please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.
Love ya,
Monty

Hi everyone!
My name is Dexter I am a 2 year old fun, loving, energetic puggle who loves long walks and a great game of fetch! I am so smart I will bring my toy to you to toss for me.
I am great with children and provide endless fun to keep them occupied for awhile. I am also good with other dogs and love to play tug a war and cuddle.
My previous owners had to surrender me because they were becoming first time parents and worked long hours so they did not want to keep me locked away because I was too cute and deserved a loving home. Did I mention how cute I am?
I am also a very healthy dog who doesn’t require much maintenance just lots of love and attention. I am looking for that special family or person who has the time and energy to make my life complete.
Are you the family I am looking for? If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.
Hugs and smooches,
Dexy

Hi! I’m Fozzie!
I’m a happy 11 year old boy who loves to give my person plenty of love! It makes me happy to follow her around the house.
I’m always smiling just because I love to hang out with people! I also get along well with dogs, and don’t mind cats.
My owner says I’m well house-broken. I may be hearing-impaired, but people never think I’m disabled.
I also have a funny back that gives me a cute walk, but it doesn’t slow me down a bit! I can still walk fast, jump, go up or down stairs, or enjoy short trips to the dog park or around town. I am great in the car or on a leash, but I hate confinement so kennels aren’t for me.
I will usually snooze until you get home. And boy, I love seeing you when I wake up! I really just want a person who needs a good companion! I have so much love to give! Won’t you be my forever home? Contact CPR if you want to meet me and please fill out an adoption application for more info!
Hugs and kisses,
Foz

Hi everyone, we came to CPR like we were on Noah’s Ark...as a pair...and we must leave CPR the same way. We grew up in a very loving home since we were just small pups.
Now our family must leave the country and are unable to take us with them. They are very sad to part with us but know that CPR are the experts at finding the best homes for a pair of puggies such as ourselves.
I, Yoda, am a shy boy at first, but give me a day and I will be your best snuggle buddy. I am totally well mannered in the potty area and love to just chill out in your lap and I would not mind a walk around the block. I sometimes whine to get your attention or to find my brother Pugsley when he is not in my sight.
My big (and I mean that literally) bro looks so cute when he sleeps. People say that his face is just a perfect specimen of the pug breed. He is a loud snorter when not sleeping or relaxing. I can be found licking my brother by his ears or legs as I am very very bonded with him.
We enjoy walks at our foster home and get along really well with the other dogs in the house. We both are wonderful with children and just want to be played with, scratched, kissed up and have the opportunity to kiss you back!
So now’s your chance to get a super duper pair of puggies, still full of life and love for your family. Please complete an application today and take us home. You SOO won’t be sorry. If you want to meet us, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.
Love, Yoda and Pugsley

Hi everyone I am Lola,
I am a very mellow 6 year old young lady.
I would be a perfect travel companion for you as I am an excellent passenger and love to go for rides and explore new places.
I am a quiet girl because I rarely bark however I do snore sometimes! I enjoy chew toys and bones. I also love food - my new years resolution is to lose a pound or two!
I am housebroken and have not had any accidents in my foster home. I get along with all my foster fur siblings but would be happy to be an only dog and get all of your attention.
If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.

My name is Priscilla and before you even think it - I know, I need to go on a diet YESTERDAY!!
But, I promise, I am ready to bite the bullet, not literally. If you can love and care for me, I will slim down in no time and love you more than you can imagine!
I was surrendered to a shelter because my parents could not afford to care for me. When CPR picked me up I had blood in my urine and mast cell tumors - yuchh! But you know these folks - they got me right to the vet and on the medicines I need. I had my surgery to remove the bad stuff and my future is looking good. They have also checked out my peepers and I will need just to have one easy medication regularly for my eyes.
I am having lots of fun at my foster home and love all the doggies here. I really enjoy playing and playing and playing at 6 years young. In fact I wear out the other pugs at my foster mom’s home. I still have quite the spring in my step!!
Soo, if you would like to meet me I am ready and would love to get together. Please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.
Love, Prissy xoxo

Hi my name is Amber and I am an apricot fawn pug - a beautiful combination of pug colors. I am told I also have the most adorable pug tongue!
I am a good girl who eats well and know to go outside for potty time. I am a sweet girl who is on the small side and have no aggression issues toward people or other pets.
I am told I tend to be a little vocal when you leave me in a room by myself, but with time and some training I will probably get over it.
If you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.

Hello Pug lovers - I’m Sammy! I got a bit of a rough start in life and by the time I got to CPR, I was malnourished and in desperate need of love and attention.
CPR took me straight to the Animal Hospital where I got vaccinated, micro chipped, and all that necessary stuff including a teeth cleaning.
I am super sweet and very well behaved. I love to be around people!! I have the most adorable bark /howl, that sounds like “I LUB YOU!” when you come home.
I love to sleep on anything...pillow, blanket, pants, socks, really anything that lands on the floor. I am crate trained, but am well behaved in the house. I am good around other dogs. My foster folks are making sure I get plenty to eat to help me gain weight. I am getting lots of love and attention, but what I really need, is a permanent place to call home.
My only medical needs are eye drops twice a day, easy to do.
The New Year is here and I would love nothing more than to celebrate with a loving, forever family, so please keep me in mind if you have love in your heart for a good boy like me.
CPR has been great to me, but I know it’s just a stop along the way to my forever home, so if you’ve got some love to share, I am ready to receive it! If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.

Buddy was picked up by Lee County Animal Services in horrific shape - blind with scabs completely covering both eyes, patches of hair and skin missing, severe arthritis, atrophy in his hips, enlarged heart and was tested heartworm positive.
Over the past three weeks, he has come so far. Although he is permanently blind, his eyes are now bright and shiny. His hair and skin are starting to grow back. And we have him on meds and supplements to help with the enlarged heart and joint problems.
He is too weak for heartworm treatment or to be neutered, but he is a happy, loveable, Pug who gets along fine with all of his new brothers and sisters.
He will continue to need medical treatment and his expenses are mounting. Please consider a small donation to help CPR give Buddy the long term treatment he so desperately needs.
Please make a tax deductible donation today to help CPR provide much needed medical care and a safe home for Pugs in need.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide the love and care a Pug needs to start a new life!

Hey y’all. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Reese, aka “Reesey”. I am a 13 month old, 24 pound puggle that is a ball of fire!!!
I love to play outside a lot with my family, but there is one problem. My family can not provide me with time and attention that I need, so my family does not want to be unfair to me.
They had to make the difficult decision to put me up for adoption. My family promised me that I would get the best family possible that would provide the love and care just as they did.
I have some great qualities about me. I am a great football receiver, and I don’t mind giving the ball back, if you can catch me, to start another play. I also love playing tug-of-war with my rope and my play toys, especially because I usually win. I enjoy being around my sister and brother a lot (human children). I get lots of hugs and kisses all the time and that excites me too. I am VERY energetic all the time, so I need lots of walks and opportunities to release my energy.
I am pretty much on the go until night time when I lay down and go to bed. I do get vocal at times when I want your attention. I have had some training, but I still have some things to tweak, as we all do. Some things like walking on a leash. I tend to pull you to these exquisite smells that I come across when we venture out on walks. I do listen to some commands.
When you call my name I usually come unless I am being very curious about something I have found or smell. When you tell me to “come,” I can’t decide if I want to or not. But, hey, I am still in puppy mode, so I am still learning. Now, when it is time to eat, I listen REALLY well. When my mommy says, “you wanna eat?” Watch Out! I come barreling through the house, but I stop and wait until my mommy gives me the command to eat.
I haven’t had a chance to be around other animals because I am the only child. (dog) So, I basically rule the roost. I am crate trained, I have been micro chipped, and I have been spayed. I am allergic to wheat. So, my mommy has found that Natural Balance works really well. Last but not least, I go to the best doctors in town at Hollywood Animal Hospital. Well, there you have it. Me wrapped in a package of love.
If you think that I would be a great addition to your family contact CPR by filling out this adoption application .

Hello pug people!
My name is Maggie and I am so very glad to be embraced by the folks at CPR. They have a reputation you know, for finding the very best homes for puggies in need of one. I am one such puggie as somehow I ended up homeless at the shelter.
I am waiting for a home to call my own where I get to run and play and eat all the good kibble I want! And boy can I eat...lol.
I am full of energy, enjoy my walks and though I may be shy with strangers, I will warm up pretty quickly if you “show me the love”!
I am told I am pretty adorable as well. I have been spayed and just had my teeth cleaned too!
If you think I might be the one for you, please let CPR know by completing an adoption application today. Hope to hear from you soon!
Maggie xoxo
UPDATE ON MAGGIE:
So I have had some difficulties since I went to my foster family, I have a possible condition called Megaesophagus which causes me to not be able to keep my food down. My foster mommy has to give me a special medicine before I eat and I can only eat wet food and I am feed from a spoon or I will spit it all up. Not much fun, huh! I still love to eat though, I yell and scream when my brothers and sister get their kibble and mom says I can’t have any of that “hard stuff”. So I have to go back to the doctor again to let them put something called a scope down my throat to see if they can fix me so I can eat regular again.
I am very happy except that mom says I make a mess on her kitchen floor. I never have any accidents in the house and I love to snuggle. I follow mom everywhere and when she is not home, I stay with my teenage sister who has a bed for me in her room. She loves pugs!
If you want to help me get to the doctor for my visit, or to help another one of my pug friends, you can click on the bone below to make a donation and be our foster angel.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide the love and care a Pug needs to start a new life!

Hi everyone.
My name is Niko and I am very sad to say that I ended up in a shelter in pretty bad shape. Not exactly what I had planned for my “retirement years”.
I am a senior pug, weighing in around 20 lbs. I was surrendered to animal services by my humans with a large growth on my eyelid, pretty bad dental disease, a weak bladder and disc problems.
I guess they thought I had lived all the years I needed to, so they left me here to be “put to sleep”. Thank goodness, SOMEONE thought I was worth saving and called the rescue angels to bail me out. So now, I am enjoying a wonderful foster home and very nice foster mom who makes me feel special.
Got my teeth cleaned and the growth removed and getting lots of good food and medicine. My foster mom said to tell you I am sweet, laid back and friendly. I don’t mind other dogs or cats, but I can be very protective of my food so she gives it to me in my crate.
If you’d like to know more and maybe become part of the best years of my life, please fill out an adoption application and ask for Niko, the handsome older gentlepug!

Update on Dewey: I am doing so much better - I have gained weight and am looking good! Hopefully after my next vet visit I will be cleared to get my vaccines, a dental and be neutered. Then I will be ready for my forever home!
Hi my name is Dewey. I am about 8-9 years old. I was found as a stray and was dehydrated and starving.
I was scanned at two different vet offices but had no chip and no one was looking for me. The wonderful people who found me took me to another vet who did an exam and found out I had heartworms. I was a strong positive!
They called the people at CPR for help. I am now in CPR’s Care and have been treated for Tapeworms and Heartworms, but still need to be neutered, gain some weight, get my vaccines and a possibly some dental work.
Everyone tells me what a sweet boy I am. I have not had any accidents in the house and am being fostered with lots of other pugs, a cat and a bird. I love to cuddle and be near people.
Please help CPR so they can help me and other puggies who need a lot of medical care. You can make a donation by clicking on the bone below.
Right now you can send in adoption application for for me and when I am ready to go to my forever home CPR will let you know. It may be a little while until I am able, but know my heart will be yours if you say you want me now!
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide the love and care a Pug needs to start a new life!

Hello All You Pug Lovers!
I am new to this CPR club and my name is Rubi. As you can see I am quite a gem! I was told I am 8-9 years old, but you may think I look a little older.
When I was taken to the CPR doctor, he said that I have severe arthritis in my spine and hips, so that was why I was walking funny. Unfortunately, he found some other problems too. He said I must have had an injury to my left eye somewhere along the line and as a result I am blind in that eye and may not have much vision in my other eye either. The doctor said my lungs aren’t great and one more thing, he also said I have an enlarged heart.
Ok, now for the great news! Believe it or not, all my blood work came back good. Even my teeth are not bad. The wonderful CPR doctor prescribed pain medication for my arthritis and boy-o-boy, you should see me now. I’ve been told I look like a spring chicken now. Anyway, now for the first time in a long time, I am feeling pretty darn good.
Ever since I have been on this pain medication, it has made a big difference. The vet doctor said I will need to be taking this pain medication the rest of my life so that I am comfortable and pain free as much as possible.
Now I am with a pretty cool foster family. My foster Dad and his Mom are really taking good care of me. They feed me good and say I have a good appetite. They make sure I get my medicine and they walk me outside to go potty. That’s right. My foster Daddy said I have not had one accident in the house and I go potty outside just like I should.
My Daddy has a boy pug that kind of looks like me, so now I have a brother. I am feeling so good I try to play with him but he doesn’t want to play much. I play with his toys, but that’s a secret, so don’t tell him.
If you are reading this and think you would love to make her part of your family, then please fill out an adoption application and say you want Rubi. You won’t be sorry. I have a lot of love to give!
Bye for now. XOXO

Hi there!
I’m Zippy and CPR took me in when the only Mom I ever had became ill and could no longer care for me.
My foster Mom says I a dream pup (she adores me)! I am 8 yrs young, but still have plenty of pep in my step and love to give! I am a very happy go lucky Pug. I enjoy being part of a family and daily activities.
I love cuddling, treats, car rides, baths, short walks, new people, lounging on my dog bed and of course, dinnertime! I am completely house trained but don’t like walking on wet grass too much.
I do have dry eyes and slightly impaired vision and need daily eye drops which I take with no problems. I have some arthritis in my back that sometimes makes me walk with a cute wiggle.
I am looking for a forever family that will welcome and appreciate a very happy, low maintenance and affectionate Pug like me. I just want to love and be loved, it’s really that simple! I love other dogs and cats, grown ups and kids!
Won’t you take me home and make me a part of your family forever? If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can arrange it.
Love and Pug hugs, Zippy xo

Hello nice people,
My name is Kobe and I am writing to tell you all about me and why I would be your best shot at the perfect match!!
Don’t ask me how, but I ended up in a county shelter as a stray dog and they discovered I had worms in my heart!! So - the good folks at CPR bailed me out and got me all fixed up with the right medicine so I am now good to go.
My foster mom says I am most affectionate and like to give kisses and cuddles freely. I am great with children, strangers and all the other animals I have met. I would like a home where I have a playmate and nice cuddling humans to snuggle.
I am doing okay doing “my business” outside, but I do like to mark my territory inside so we are working on house manners! I listen when you talk to me and come when I hear you call my name. So all in all, a cutie patootie like me could be a blessing for one lucky family ready and able to call me their own. Could it be you?????
If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.
Love and puggie hugs, Kobe

Hi everyone,
My name is Katie and I’m your little lady. I don’t know much about myself, except that I want to be a faithful, loving companion.
You see I ended up at animal services and no one ever came for me. I was in pretty rough shape and had pneumonia but I am well on the mend now. As pugs go, I am very petite, weighing about 12 lbs.
My expressive eyes tell you everything about my sweet disposition. My nine years of earthly experience are mostly a mystery, but I am well behaved, calm and just want to hang around with someone who will love me forever.
If you would like a lovely little girl like me to come be with you, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.

Hi my name is Farmer.
Let me tell you all these wonderful things about myself, because there are a lot! First of all, I’m very handsome 8 year old boy. I’m fawn color with a cute face and very photogenic! I like to pose for pictures.
I love other dogs, love children and even don’t mind cats. I am a very young 7 1/2 to 8 year old. I have a lot of energy and love to play with my toys.
I also enjoy romping through the garden with my foster brothers and sister. I am housebroken and know how to sit when told to. I am very sweet and love to sit on my foster moms lap while she watches TV. I am also a good guard dog always alerting when something is going on outside, but I only bark when it’s something important.
I have recently been neutered, had a dental and got completely vaccinated. About 6 months ago I had a growth on my back that the vet removed and it left a little scar on my back. Everything came back OK as far as the growth was concerned so no reason to worry. I say my scar gives me character and makes me very unique.
I am slightly visually impaired, but that hasn’t stopped me from running around the house. I do require 3 different drops in my eyes every day.
I am a good boy who just wants to be loved and I will give you lot’s of love in return. If you have room in your heart for me, please ask for Farmer when you fill out the
adoption application.
Bye for now.

Hello Dog lovers:
Please let me introduce myself ...
I am Tommy, a 3 year old “Puginese” who had the extreme good fortune to land into the right hands at exactly the right time!
You see I was walking the streets of Miami, with my eye popping out, in pretty rough shape when the guys from animal control picked me up and brought me to the shelter (top picture). There was no saving my eye, so they had to take it out right away. They realized I needed a lot more help then they could offer, so they called CPR to take over where they left off.
When CPR got me, as you can see, my eye was still a big mess, oozing yucky stuff and needing some attention right away (middle picture). So they whisked me off to Dr. Sessa (this guy rocks for sure!) and he cleaned me up, removed some bad tissue and I am now healing up beautifully.
You must admit - even with one eye missing, I am one beautiful boy (bottom picture)!!
UPDATE ON TOMMY
My name is Tommy. I am a neutered male “Puginese.” (That’s a mix of Pug and Pekingese.) I am about 3 years old. For anyone who knows “Star Wars,” I look like an Ewok and make adorable Ewok sounds. I am a little cautious with new people, but once I get to know you, I am cuddly, sweet and very playful. I am in a foster home with other pugs and big dogs too, and I get along with everyone. I love running around the dog park and greeting all the new dogs as they enter. Like most pugs, I am a hearty eater with a big appetite. I think I have broken some records for speed eating my food. I am housebroken and do not mark in the house. As you may have noticed, my eye was injured while I was a stray in Miami, and now I only have one eye.
But as you can see, I am still a beautiful boy (and I am even more adorable in person). It does not affect me at all - I run around and play and have a normal life. Well, almost normal, as I am still looking for my forever home. Would you please adopt me and give a little boy some stability and love? I promise you’ll fall in love with me, and I will make you laugh every day.
Anyway, if you think I sound like your kind of guy, let CPR know by filling out an adoption application and when I am well enough, maybe we can get together to see if we are that ‘perfect match’!!
Til then, thanks for reading my story and you know, CPR can always use donations for my care and all the other rescues. We been coming in almost everyday lately and they never turn us away no matter how much help we need.
So, if you can’t adopt or foster, maybe you can donate by clicking on the bone below. Anything you can afford will go to benefit us doggies and any amount is so greatly appreciated.
Love, Tommy

My name is Sweetie and I live up to my name!
Can you believe that I was turned into Animal Control as a stray?
My foster dad thinks I am around 8 years old and wants to tell you I have impeccable manners and endearing traits (whatever that means!). I am very quiet and only bark when someone is at the door. But that’s a good thing, right?
I am a gentle soul and like to follow you around the house cause humans are too cool. I thrive on your attention and do the famous “pug tilt” when you talk to me.
I get along great with other dogs and overall, I am a super duper girl - ready and waiting to be loved by you! I would welcome the company of another small dog but also would do fine if you want me all to yourself!! Hope to hear from you soon.
Love, Sweetie xoxo

Hi All,
My name is Boomer. I am 11 years young.. unfortunately, my people moved away and they could not take me with them. I was an only dog, left alone most of the day by myself. I was pretty bored and lonesome...so when they brought me to Compassionate Pugs to find me a forever home, I was elated.
Right now I am in a foster home and am being spoiled beyond my wildest dreams. My foster mom feeds me the best food...anyone hear of Spot’s Stew? Well, since I have been on this food, my skin and coat look great! (That’s why I look so young). I will say that I simply love to eat…so much so that you will always find me sitting in the kitchen...waiting for food.
My foster mom has two other dogs...I get along great with them. I have just one little problem, but it is not really a problem...my hearing is not as it used to be. When she calls for the other dogs to go outside, I follow them or my foster mom will motion for me to go out and we all run out together. I am 100% toilet trained, and know how to tell you when I want to go outside
I am looking for a forever, loving home. I don’t mind other dogs as I would love their company. I am not sure about cats. I am a great lap dog and love getting specialized attention.
My foster mom will be very sad to see me go as she has fallen deeply in love with me, but that’s life and I need to be in a permanent home where I can have stability. I am a good dog and I will make you laugh...you should see me sit up like a person…everyone that meets me can’t get over it. I have a face you just want to love. I promise I will make you smile!!!
How about it? Come and meet me and you will see what I am talking about.

Hey there, calling all Pug lovers -
My name is Oliver. As you can see, I am a VERY handsome boy! I am a 7 year old fawn pug.
I am looking for my perfect forever home. I am really a loving and very funny guy. I just want to be near you and shower you with my wonderful pug kisses and I promise to be the perfect gentleman.
Now let me tell you all the wonderful stuff about myself. I love chew toys and don’t mind sharing them with other doggies. I like a long walk in the evening when it is not too hot and I like saying hello to all the neighbors. I’m great with kids and love going to the dog park. I’m a very social boy and love a good game of chase.
In my previous life, I was loved but did not get the care I needed. Since being rescued by the great folks with CPR, they have taken really good care of me. They took me to that vet guy and had me all checked out. At that time, I had a dental, where I lost a lot of my teeth, I had ear infections, bad skin and my eye sight wasn’t so good.
Speaking of my eyesight, I need to have eye medications put in my eyes everyday so that my eyes stay moist and the pigment does not progress. So ok, I don’t see as well as I used to, but I promise you that makes no difference at all. I can see you, my toys and my food bowl - what else matters anyway??
Just recently my head started to tilt to one side and I was losing my balance. My great foster mom thought it was because of my vision. She wanted to be sure so she took me to that vet guy again. No offense to the vet guy, but I’m not crazy about “vet guys”. They are always poking and prodding me, telling me to open my mouth and say ahhhh, looking in my ears with a pointy flashlight, lifting up my lips to look at my gums and teeth and make me cough while they put some thing in their ears to listen to my heart and lungs.
I mean come on, there is only so much a guy can take! Well anyway, after all that shenanigans went on, the vet guy told my foster mommy that I have something called Vestibular Disease. I don’t know exactly what that is, but my foster mommy does. All I can tell you is that it has left me with a permanent head tilt. I don’t care what anyone else says, but I think it gives me character. You know how some other pugs only tilt their head when they hear a funny word or hear a pitch in a humans voice and everybody always says that head tilt is so cute? Guess what, I am PERMANENTLY CUTE!!
So please, do yourself a favor and contact CPR and tell them you want Oliver as part of your family. I’m all packed and ready to go! Will you be my “forever family”? I sure hope so, you won’t be sorry.
Please fill out an adoption application and ask for Oliver.
Pugs and Kisses, Oliver

Happy Holidays, pug fans!
My name is Gigi and I am looking for a new place to call my own. My foster mom says to tell you I am soooo sweet and extremely lovable! I am always on the go and enjoy following you around to make sure I don’t miss anything exciting! I am carrying around a few extra pounds, but I do watching my weight now to get back my puggish figure.
I have a condition that causes me to have seizures unless I take special medication to control them. No big deal, it doesn’t slow me down or make me any less adorable! So, please let these folks know by filling out an adoption application if you think I’m the girl for you, Ok??
Love, Gigi xo

Hey everybody! My name is Bodi and I’m a handsome pug. Compassionate Pug Rescue picked me up from a dog park in Miami during the holidays after someone left me there-can you imagine?. I ended up going to the vet and getting four teeth pulled! Nobody ever told me I needed to brush my teeth!!!
You could also call me Mr. Magoo’s cousin, I’m not as bad and it doesn’t stop me from greeting you at the door with a smiling face. When it’s time to go for an outing, I’m excited and ready to go. You know I’m a pug because you can hear my funny noises throughout the room I’m in. I do need some eye drops twice a day to help keep my eyes nice and moist but that’s no trouble at all I’m told.
Would you like to take me home? If so please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us!
Adoption fee $200

Hello, my name is Mr. Scrappy PAPPY.
I am what is known as “an oldie but a goodie.” I have some new pics to share now that I have had a dental done and some teeth pulled. The DR. left my one snaggletooth though as it is still working out for me and hey I think it adds to my personality.
I was surrended to CPR by my family who could no longer have me due to tough times.
I am a middle aged gentleman with excellent manners. I am perfectly housetrained, no accidents here! I sleep in my crate or in your bed if you will let me and I enjoy spending time alone on my bed or with my foster brothers and sisters. I also like it when my foster mom invites me on to the couch for a snuggle, I am a sucker for cuddling!
What I want most is a forever home to call my own. I would be fine as an only dog too as sometimes I bark at the other dogs but never hurt them. My foster mom pushes me around in the doggie stroller around town and boy do I love seeing the sights this way and sometimes even take a snooze. I also love to chew things like doggie bones since my teeth are now all nice and clean.
If you want to have me over to pose in one of your chairs, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.

Here is what Frank and Chyna’s wonderful foster mom has to say:
Frank and Chyna were surrendered as their owner was elderly and could no longer care for herself or them. Family members sought out CPR for our help. While at the vet office, it was discovered that Chyna had multiple bladder stones. Our good Dr. Forbes did surgery on August 10th to remove the 6 bladder stones and clean Chyna’s teeth with one extraction. Chyna has recovered beautifully and will only need to stay on a special diet to keep healthy.
They are 7 and 8 years old and love each other and of course are precious. They are two of the most special pugs. They get along with my two cats three horses and yes 2 pigs. They are protective yet gentle and completely devoted to people. They love all the other pugs and get on with anyone and adapt very well to anything. They love the barn are very careful around the horses and meet and greet everyone. They are active yet will be content to just being couch potatoes. I think they would do well with children adults and the elderly in short they are the perfect pugs. They are really no trouble at all.
Because of their history together and how much they love each other, CPR would love to find a forever home that will welcome BOTH Frank and Chyna as a pair. If you are that special home with a big enough heart for all this pug love, please fill out an adoption application!
Pug Hugs!
Adoption Fee: $400 (for pair)

We’d like to introduce you to our newest pair of puggies, Caesar and Maximus. These beautiful boys (age 6 and 5 respectively) and were surrendered to CPR together because their family could no longer take care of them. Both Caesar and Max were with their family since they were puppies.
Caesar is a good-sized boy weighing in around 24 pounds and Max is a little bit smaller. They are both great loving boys who are crate-trained, but love being with their humans and will sleep and relax wherever you will let them. Are you the right family for these boys?
While we would like to ideally find a home for Caesar and Max together, we are willing to adopt them out to homes separately with other pugs or dogs. If you think you may be able to give these handsome guys a forever home, please fill out an adoption application.

Tribute to Luna from Lynn:
“My daughter and I were very blessed to take in Luna as our foster this past March. Luna fit in like a glove with our family from day one. It was like she was always meant to be with us. She became the very best of friends with our pug Polly who guided our seeing impaired Luna throughout our home. Luna always wanted to be next to us and never left our side. She gave us so much love and joy in the seven months she lived with us. Luna will forever be in our hearts and part of our family.”
“We will miss you always my sweet and beautiful Luna.”
“Rest in Peace Beautiful Luna - you were so loved...”

8/30/11 Update on Daisy: Little Daisy was undergoing surgery today to remove a damaged and infected eye, however she did not make it through the procedure. We here at CPR are heartbroken that such a sweet girl has crossed over the rainbow bridge while she still had so much love to give. While we often don’t understand why things happen the way they do, we know the doctor and staff tried their best to save her. Rest in peace sweet little girl and run free…

In Memoriam,
We are sad to have to write that Teddy had a stroke/ heart attack over the weekend and despite being rushed to the emergency vet hospital he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His loving foster parents were with him when he passed and are heartbroken. We thank them for the love and caring they gave Teddy and please hold them up in your thoughts and prayers. Run free little Teddy, like the young spirit you can be again.
12/28/10 from Teddy’s Foster Mom:
“Teddy is doing fine. He has improved strength in his hind legs and can get up from his bed on his own and up and down the stairs on his own. We discovered he also gives kisses on command. We spent some time at the park and he got a really good work out.”
My name is Teddy and I look marvelous for my age. I think I am around eleven, but I lost count. I am a perfect gentleman, have great manners and am house broken. I had some teeth taken out so my treats need to be soft, but I do well with hard food as well as canned and have a great appetite. I love to be scratched around the ears and my back, and will do a little dance for you when you get the right spot.
I love roaming around the garden, and taking naps. I’m not a barker, but I certainly have a little snore (somewhat funny). I also get along well with other dogs and great with people (even strangers). My foster mom says I’m a really great pug!
If you have room in your home and heart for a senior boy like me, please fill out an adoption application and ask for Teddy!
Also, check out our link on the joy of senior pugs…

Hi everyone!
My name is Benny and I am a handsome young boy with a beautiful black shiny coat. Somehow I ended up at animal control but thank goodness the good folks at CPR sprung me. I am on a quest to find my fur-ever home! I’m currently living with 3 other pugs and boy do I keep them busy playing!
I absolutely LOVE to play, I’ll play with anyone and everyone and I like to do it a LOT. There is only one thing I like better than playing and that is rolling over to have my belly rubbed. Ohhh, do I love that! My dream is to be in a home with a fenced back yard and another dog or pug, of course to play with. Now that would be the life!
I need a little help with my house manners as you see I love to leap from sofa to chairs and tables! We are working on that. I am not a barker but only alert you of potential danger (door bell or people at the door!)
My foster mom says that I should mention that I am potty and crate trained. I do get super-excited to see my peeps once they get home but that’s a good thing, right? I’m not allowed to roam the house freely because I still have plenty of puppy in me and sometimes get into things I am not supposed to get into.
If you have plenty of love, patience, and energy for a fun loving youngster like me, please contact the good folks at CPR by filling out an adoption application and asking for me, Benny!
Until then XOXO,
Benny

Hi my name is Yoshi,
One look at me and I’ll make you smile. I am a handsome 7 year old boy but I act much younger than my age. I am on the large side, 24 lbs but I’m not fat. I’m just full of muscle and energy! I am completely healthy.
I love to run and explore the yard and play with my toys and with other doggies. I am not shy at all. I am totally housebroken and well behaved around the house. I have a cute pug tongue that likes to hang to one side of my mouth and lots of cute wrinkles around my face. My fur is so soft you will love to pet me.
My foster mom says I’m a cutie who will make a great companion. I will lie down beside you and follow you wherever you go. I love to go on long walks with you although I will pull you to all the interesting smells. And I absolutely love going for car rides. Will you please take me home with you?
If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us.
Love and hugs,
Yoshi

Hi my name is Suki and I was born on 4/6/04. I have been with the same family since I was a wee puppy but sadly am now looking for a new home. I had nose surgery as a pup so I could breath easier and have been healthy pretty much my whole life.
I am potty trained to a pad, but also know how to go outside. My folks did this cause they worked a whole lot and knew it would be hard to “hold it”. They didn’t want me to have to wait to go outside or live in a crate or have accidents. I’m sure if you just want me to go outside I can do this with a few extra walks.
I love children and lived with a 2 and 4 year old. I have never been around a cat and have lived with other dogs, but like to be the leader. I used to run the show even when a Bull Mastif lived with us!
I would love to be all settled in with my new family by Valentine’s Day so I can show them what true love is all about! If that sounds good to you, please fill out an adoption application and tell ‘em Suki is the one for you.
Love, Suki

Hello everyone!
My name is Carmen and you can see by my photo I am one beautiful Pug!
At 7 years old, I have lived with my humans all of my life but sadly now, I must find a different place to live and be loved.
You see both Mom and Dad’s work schedules have changed and they think it best for me to be in a new home where I wouldn’t be alone so much and get all the love and attention I deserve. I am very healthy, crate and potty trained, as long as I am kept on a regular schedule.
I love children and other dogs and Dad says I am a lover without an ounce of aggression in me. I weigh 21 lbs and I eat lite dog food to keep my girlish figure and enjoy green beans as treats.
So if you think I sound like your kind of gal, please fill out an adoption application ! I am very excited to start my new journey so get to it, Ok??
Love, Carmen

Hey everyone my name is Stewie,
The first thing you will notice about me is my size. My foster dad says I am the largest pug has ever seen. I was at the vet’s office recently for an exam and to start my heart worm treatment and they put me on the scale. Guess what? I weighed a whopping 37 pounds! I am not a fatty pug, I am just a big boned boy with all the right pug proportions.
I was rescued from Miami Dade Animal Control on Dec. 14th and taken in by a foster dad and his two cats. The cats I can take or leave. I do not want to chase or bite them, but am curious and did get my nose to close and got it bopped by one of the kitties. I won’t make that mistake again!
My foster dad says I am the best boy ever as I am just a mellow hunk of love. I love to sit right beside him on the sofa, at his desk, in his reclining chair, in the truck, just about anywhere! When we walk I am right at his side unless I have to do my business, but I return to his side when I am done. I don’t pull on the leash or other annoying things while we are out. I am pretty much housebroken and have only had one accident in the house in over a week.
I have no vision in my left eye and it is a little different from my right eye in size. My foster dad says it makes me look even cuter than I already am. Other than that and the heart worms I am in good health. I still need to be neutered when the heart worm treatment is over. My teeth are good and my fur is good (except where they shaved two squares on my back to give the heart worm injections).
These heart worms are such nasty critters. They have slowed me down and I can’t wait until I am over them. I am lucky that they caught them when they did and that I am in such good shape. I am strong enough to endure the treatment. Some doggies die during the treatment. It is hard to believe a mosquito bite starts it all and that it can be prevented so easily by giving us a monthly preventative like Heartguard. It is also very costly to have this treatment. (CPR could use some help to pay for mine. hint, hint)
If you would like to have a little larger than a lap dog size friend, then please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can introduce us when I am all better.
Happy holidays from Stewie!
