Meet Zippy, our Pug of the Month!

Hi there! I’m Zippy and CPR took me in when the only Mom I ever had became ill and could no longer care for me. My foster Mom says I am a dream pup (she adores me)! I am 8 yrs young, but still have plenty of pep in my step and love to give! I am a very happy go lucky Pug. I enjoy being part of a family and daily activities. I love cuddling, treats, car rides, baths, short walks, new people, lounging on my dog bed and of course, dinnertime! I am completely house trained but don’t like walking on wet grass too much.
I do have dry eyes and slightly impaired vision and need daily eye drops which I take with no problems. I have some arthritis in my back that sometimes makes me walk with a cute wiggle. I am looking for a forever family that will welcome and appreciate a very happy, low maintenance and affectionate Pug like me. I just want to love and be loved, it’s really that simple! I love other dogs and cats, grown ups and kids!
Won’t you take me home and make me a part of your family forever? If you want to meet me, please fill out an adoption application so the folks at CPR can arrange it.
Love and Pug hugs, Zippy xo
Compassionate Pug Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer pug rescue organization
Our mission is to provide veterinary care, public education, and a nurturing foster environment for any pug regardless of age or condition until they are healthy and placed in a loving “forever home”.
CPR works daily with pug owners who, for a variety of reasons, may need to surrender their pug to us. Additionally (and very importantly) we work with area shelters and animal control organizations to rescue pugs in need. We are a completely volunteer-based organization and we rely purely on donations and adoption fees to financially rescue and help all of the South Florida pugs in need.
Have you considered fostering?
Opening your home to care for pugs that are on their way to their forever home is one of the most important aspects in rescue. CPR is always looking for volunteers that are willing to foster pugs, but now, more than ever, CPR is in need of foster families. As a foster parent, all we ask of you is a kind hand, a little patience and a loving home while we search for a forever home for your rescued foster pug.

Our foster parents pay for nothing, (unless they want to). We provide the: crate if needed, food, Heart Guard & Frontline, and any vet visits that may be required. No foster parent in our organization is ever forced to take a pug; we try to match the foster pugs to households that suit them and where they will thrive.
If you have room in home to foster pugs let us know. Just fill out a Volunteer Application and we’ll be in touch.
West Palm Beach Pet Expo huge success for CPR!
CPR had 10 Pugs and an equal number of volunteers show up at the well attended So FL Pet Expo on Saturday, March 24th in West Palm Beach. We made a lot of new friends and found homes for a couple of puggies in the process. Below are some of the volunteers who gave up their Saturday to help CPR become better known in Palm Beach County and meet lots of new potential homes for our Pugs in need.

Thanks to all who gave their time to CPR and the Pugs today including several people not pictured who transported foster Pugs to the event.

If You Aren't Able to Help the Pugs in Person, Please Consider Making a Donation
It isn’t always feasible to add another pug to your family or attend a fundraising event. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t help the pugs at CPR. A donation of any size, will help CPR care for the pugs and pay for the medical treatment they need. You can donate to CPR via PayPal or by sending a check payable to Compassionate Pug Rescue to the address below.
Here is an easy way to donate to CPR.
