Happy Endings
Tuzak
It all began one Saturday evening… my babies: zoey (14yr old poodle) zachary( 14yr old kitty, that has since passed away), junior (the most spoiled rotten 3yr old black pug), and myself were getting ready to go to grandpa’s house for dinner when we got a call from Marcia asking us to temporarily foster Tuzak until his foster parents could get him. I was hesitant because knew I could never foster—I wouldn’t be able to seperate myself and, well....ehemm...junior would never allow his mama to give another pug attention. I would never want to break his spirit, he is my BABY after all. I said ok, however, because I knew he wasnt what I wanted if (when) I was going to get another pug. He was an adolescent fawn with “issues” - thats what rescues are after all. I wanted a black female puppy to match my baby. When I took Tuzak in, it was CLEAR my others, especially Junior, wanted NO part of him. They were quite happy with life before he got there!
But, after about 4 hours with Tutu (I had already given him a nickname), I was in love. I decided to give fostering a try. Well, as I am sure you’ve already guessed, I FAILED. Yup, I am a foster failure, and proud of it! I never thought I could love and adore another animal as much as my babies, yet Tu made me do just that, and in such a short period of time. He’s learned so much already (now he has just normal “pug” issues) and has taught us so much (like teaching junior how to share his toys
). He’s loving, extremely good natured and so appreciative of being loved. I just couldn’t imagine my life without him!
Thank you CPR ,from the bottom of my heart for bringing this bundle of joy into my life. We (the kids n I) promise to take the best possible care of him, to fill his life with all the things puggies are sposta have, and to love him more and more as each day goes by.
